The upper half of the photo shows the three-storey high Kumbakarna Laga statue at the Bali Botanic Garden. It's from the Ramayana epic and it shows Kumbakarna trying to escape from an attack by monkeys.
Equally stunning is another huge sculpture [bottom] near Denpasar airport. It's from Mahabharata and it depicts Ghatodhgaja, the son of Bhima, battling with Karna. Ghatodhgaja is standing on top of the horses of Karna’s chariot, while Karna draws an arrow against Ghatodhgaja.
