मोहम्मद् अफजल् गुरुः जैश्-ए-मोहम्मद् नामकस्य भयोत्पादकसङ्घतनस्य सदस्यः । २००१ तमे वर्षे भारतस्य संसद्भवनस्य उपरि यत् आक्रमणम् अभवत् तस्य सूत्रधारः आसीत् । २००२तमे वर्षे प्रवृत्ते विचारणे सः अपराधी इति निर्णीय सर्वोच्चन्यायालयः तस्य मरणदण्डनम् अघोषयत् । २००६तमवर्षस्य अक्टोबरमासे २० दिनाङ्के तस्य मरणदण्डनं निश्चितम् आसीत् । किन्तु कथञ्चित् तत् व्याक्षिप्तम् आसीत् । २०१३ तमवर्षस्य फेब्रुवरीमासस्य अष्टमदिनाङ्के तस्य दयाभिक्षा राष्ट्रपतिना प्रणवमुखर्जीवर्येण तिरस्कृता । परेद्यवि तन्नाम फेब्रुवरीमासस्य नवमे दिनाङ्के प्रातः ८.००वादने तस्य मरणदण्डनं विहितम् ।
